Back4Good Practitioner.
Back pain is very common and causes a great deal of misery but, fortunately, serious or permanent damage it rare. More than 80% of the adult population suffer with low back pain at some point in their life. It is one of the most common reasons why people take time off work and may be distressing and frustrating as quality of life often suffers.
Gentle and effective exercise, delivered by properly trained exercise professionals, can often help with the prevention and management of low back pain.
You’ll be pleased to hear that as a Back4Good practitioners my training is endorsed by BackCare, the UK charity for healthier backs; lead by leading medical practitioners; and by the independent bodies who oversee quality and standards in the UK health and fitness industry.
As a Back4Good practitioner I am fully qualified to support you through this troubling time, this may be through direct initial contact or via a referral from another health practitioner.
Following an initial screening process, which includes a series of medical questionnaires and discussions around lifestyle and medical history, we would then continue on with some exercise assessments. This would include, observing and identifying where the movement restrictions are in the body, using biomechanical analysis over a variety of initial assessment exercises. With this information we can then pin point movement restrictions and associated pain and discomfort levels and formulate a progressive and bespoke exercise plan, to support the management of your back pain.
